CPD requirements

We have been working hard to develop a continuing professional development programme for our members to use. The first part of what we call the 'implementation plan' is now coming into effect – and this does require every member to read and understand what is expected and required of them. Continuing professional development (CPD) is possibly the biggest issue for EREPS and the members to manage – and as a concept and requirement of registration it is arguably the most important aspect of professionalising the industry.

We have prepared a special information leaflet on CPD that explains what we expect our members to do and this can be accessed through our website. CPD should be an important factor in the pursuit of helping to raise the standards, skills and competencies of exercise professionals. It should also help the fitness industry’s ability and resources to meet challenges and opportunities in the future – especially when working alongside other professionals who are also working to get more 'More People, More Active, More Often'.
