My First 1S-LSD Experience (About a Year Ago)
About a year ago, I had my first experience with 1S-LSD. Earlier that day, I had taken around 300 mg of DXM, but I didn't really feel anything from it. Because of that, I decided it was the perfect time to try LSD for the first time. I took 100 ยตg.
After about an hour, I noticed that the letters on my phone were moving and had rainbow-colored outlines around them. I felt incredibly happy, everything was hilarious, and I was in a really good mood. At one point I went into the bathroom and started trimming my beard because, for some reason, it suddenly seemed like a great idea.
After that, I put on some music and listened to a playlist. One thing I noticed was that the entire room seemed to change color depending on my emotions. When I felt happy, everything looked green. When I felt anxious or scared, the room turned red.
At some point I wondered what a bad trip would actually feel like. Almost instantly, my mind showed me. Time slowed down dramatically, the music became very threatening, and the whole room turned red. It was pretty intense. After a while, I managed to calm myself down.
Later I tried to open a bottle of water, but I couldn't because I was shaking so much. I honestly thought I was about to have a seizure. Eventually I relaxed, closed my eyes, and just let go. That's when I saw my entire room transform into outer space, filled with countless stars. It was absolutely incredible.
Around hour seven or eight, I wanted to go to sleep because I was exhausted and ready for the experience to end. I put on a YouTube video to help me calm down because I was afraid I might "stay stuck" like this forever. I closed my eyes and listened, and suddenly I found myself inside what felt like a 360-degree space filled with memories from my life. Then, like a lightning strike, everything went completely black. From that moment on, whenever I closed my eyes, I couldn't see any mental imagery anymore.
Looking back now, a year later, I still find it difficult to visualize things with my eyes closed. What still works very well is daydreaming with my eyes open.
One thing I learned is that it's a good idea to choose music that you genuinely enjoy while sober. Looking back, I think I simply didn't like the playlist I was listening to, and LSD amplified those feelings. Combined with the way I perceived Spotify's colors, I ended up feeling like I was in danger.
So, what did I learn from all of this? LSD can be done alone, but it's much better to educate yourself beforehand, prepare properly, and avoid mixing it with other substances. I think the DXM probably contributed to the intensity and confusion of the experience as well.
Takeaways: Don't underestimate set, setting, or music. Choose a playlist you actually enjoy while sober, avoid mixing substances, and do your research before taking psychedelics. Looking back, I think the DXM likely influenced the experience even though I didn't initially feel it.

The author shares their first experience with 1S-LSD, noting the unintended intensity caused by mixing it with DXM. They describe vivid visual shifts and a challenging period of anxiety linked to music choices, followed by a profound 'outer space' hallucination and subsequent loss of mental visualization (aphantasia) that persisted for a year. The report concludes with practical advice on the importance of preparation and avoiding substance combinations.
