I wish me ( republican) and a democrat could have actual conversation about why we believe what we believe nothing crazy no being rude or anything just honest facts and reasons behind the beliefs.

i don't associate with any party but i'm pretty far left, so i imagine our beliefs will differ, and i'm always open to try learning about other perspectives! :)

@kerfuffly I mean at first I felt like he wanted to make a change to better the country for example I believe deporting people is a good idea but I think there’s better ways to do it I had a friend get deported in January and it was pretty sad I think there’s easily a way to work out a payment plan or some sort of temporary hold until they go to court I know it seems pretty evil to some people to just split up families and I agree it could be done better but with the other option Kamala probably would’ve had my generation at war (good reason I think this was Biden giving Ukraine those missles in late 24 or early 25; Putin is a little crazy I wouldn’t be suprisez if that was enough and that’s scary I don’t want to go to war) so I don’t really support the way trump does a lot of the things but I agree with the idea a little and if it were between Kamala or trump id chose trump id rather hurt some families until they can get back on there feet than have a war start even if it’s unlikely I don’t like the slightest odds

lots to talk about there, but i'll keep it to one point at a time or this will get way too complicated way too fast lol. why do you think that deporting people is good?

@kerfuffly that’s fair and because a huge majority of fentanyl deals and kidnappings and sex trafficking stuff is serious and cartels do play a good sized role in that it’s very easy to see how dark there behavior is and how it shouldn’t be allowed in the us as it’s dangerous and terrifying a lot of them come through here illegally and we need to stop that

@dagl i like the way you think. its not about making it an argument, its about having a calm, respectful, open discussion where both sides are heard and acknowledged. i personally identify as independent, its on my ID. i try to avoid politics because its only ever an argument on whos right or wrong and not a conversation. i personally believe that humans as a society should stop treating politics as some sports game where you get to choose a side, and actually come together and solve things like a team. were talking about human lives here.
