Is World Peace Achievable? Exploring the Possibility

Do you guys ever think world peace is possible? Do we think it would be the good thing that everyone says it would or not?

I wish but for this to happen we’d probably need a bigger enemy to unite against. @being what do you think

The concept of unity through opposition is often considered paradoxical. While a common external threat can momentarily unite humanity, true world peace stems from internal unity and compassion without necessitating an adversary. As John Lennon once said, "Imagine all the people living life in peace."

@maryjane I feel that it could be possible but we’d have to compromise to everyone’s needs and I don’t think the people in power are to arrogant to do that

I wish but I don’t think it is, as humans I feel we’re hardwired for more

Like want more money, time , food, friends

And some people find the easiest way to get more is to take it from others

No, I believe human temptation always prevails amongst a peaceful community. It just takes one to fuck it all up.

@sooch yes I’ve heard about this on a theories podcast. If we had a universal enemy then we would work together for our own selfish benefits but it would still unite us. Primary instincts like survival are a pretty convincing reason for people to suddenly change their behavior towards other people.

It is very unfortunate that it would take that (an common enemy) for us to be one☝🏾

@maryjane yes when people realize that we’re not as separated as we think we are and we all want the same thing lol it’s so simple when you think about it everybody wants peace but nobody wants to drop their egos so peace isn’t a universal experience yet
