I'm struggling to cope with my own deconstruction of faith, since I'm in a predominantly Christian kind of society, and people have certain kind of expectations from you as a Christian, and it's like a lot of people in the community, I mean, don't always have boundaries, so a lot of people expect you to say yes to a lot of things. I don't know if there's any other people also dealing with this kind of thing, after leaving the church and deconstructing their faith, still finding themselves in a community or a societal structure where it's the norm for people to be Christians, so a lot of people talk about God's plan for your life or the will of God, so it's just the general language that people use, so it's very hard to sometimes set boundaries in terms of what you speak to people about. I don't know how else to word this. Is there any other people also dealing with the same kind of thing?

@coolsurfer28 it's time to move away completely from that circle of people so that you can find God on your own. You're realizing that you were kept in the dark about a lot of things associated with having a true relationship with God and that's why a lot of us left the church. Because you see and hear a lot of things that don't line up with the lifestyle and it makes you question everything youve ever been told about the religion, the faith.... my advice to you.... dont lose your faith but definitely deconstruct that religion mindset because its gonna change how you view people who call themselves Christian... its gonna reveal to you why you needed to step away in the first place but definitely change your environment... its gonna be lonely at first while you deconstruct but the right people will find you. I pray you find peace on your spiritual journey. 🙏🏽

@outspokenoracles222 thank you for your kind words. I appreciate you taking time to respond🙏 I have been deconstructing my ideas around spirituality aswell and having a “relationship with God” This was a big part of my struggle. My entire life my parents have said: “it’s about having a relationship with God, it should not be a religion” But that in itself became a framework I had to deconstruct and realise that this “God” I was trying to have a relationship with, does not exist. I had to start developing a relationship with myself and develop critical thinking skills, because I was trapped by the Idea of having a “personal relationship” with God. I have a form of spiritual experience and connection that I hold on to. It is hard for me to still call that “God” In the spirit of your message, I understand what you are communicating, and I appreciate the insight that you delivered❤️🙏

@coolsurfer28 then call your higher self and the wisdom that guides you in all aspects of your connection. Discovering yourself in the midst of teachings that were embedded causes an awakening within that those who are tied to a certain belief dont understand. God is everything. The higher mind the conciousness. You're discovering that now and you're not putting it in a box which is a great start on this journey that you're on. Once you realize that everything is connected you can't go back to just being trapped and labeled by one thing.

I feel this… my husband and I also left the church building several years ago. It was so hard at first, but then I gave myself permission to do my own research and found that for me anyway all religions are about control. They all say the same things: love is the way! It can feel only at first but as you grow you find yourself enjoying it. I did. I used that time to grow and learn. You’re not alone in this. Message me anytime
